Looking for Land for Solar Farm Projects in the Philippines

Do you own a large piece of land? Your property could help power the future of the Philippines.

At Solar Up Philippines, we are looking for land suitable for renewable energy projects, including solar farms, Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS), and embedded generation projects. We are working with renewable energy developers to identify properties that meet the requirements for these projects.

What Kind of Land Are We Looking For?

Utility-Scale Solar Farm

Your property may qualify if it has:

  • At least 50 hectares of land
  • A clean land title
  • Living registered owner(s)
  • Located within 10 kilometers of an NGCP substation

Battery Energy Storage System (BESS)

For battery storage projects, we are looking for:

  • At least 3 hectares
  • Within 3 kilometers of an NGCP substation

Embedded Generation Projects

These projects usually require:

  • 8 to 10 hectares of land
  • Located near a local electric utility (Distribution Utility)

Why Is the Location Important?

Renewable energy projects need to connect to the country’s power grid. Properties that are close to an NGCP substation are generally easier and more cost-effective to develop.

What Happens If My Land Qualifies?

If your property meets the basic requirements, our team will conduct an initial assessment. Depending on the project, the land may be considered for:

  • Long-term lease
  • Purchase
  • Renewable energy development

There is no obligation, and every property is evaluated individually.

Information to Prepare

To help us review your property, please have the following ready:

  • Copy of the land title (if available)
  • Total land area
  • Municipality and province
  • Google Maps pin or location
  • Photos of the property
  • Your contact details

If you own land or know someone who does, we’d be happy to review the property.
