Solar Up’s leadership team joined global industry participants for the unveiling of FOX ESS’s latest commercial energy storage technology and an exclusive visit to its facility in China.

WENZHOU, CHINA — Solar Up Philippines joined global renewable energy technology manufacturer FOX ESS in Wenzhou, China, for its 2026 PowerBeast New Product Launch on September 21, followed by a factory tour that offered a closer look at the company’s operations and technology.

The Solar Up delegation included Cris Tagupa, Chief Executive Officer; Prince Macalaguing, Chief Marketing Officer; and Engr. Manny Fernandez, Chief Operating Officer. The team participated in the visit alongside Hua Lei, Country Manager of FOX ESS Philippines.

Invited by FOX ESS, Solar Up had the opportunity to connect with international industry participants, learn more about the manufacturer’s newest solutions, and explore technologies relevant to the growing solar and energy storage market in the Philippines.

PowerBeast Takes Center Stage at the 2026 Product Launch

The centerpiece of the event was the unveiling of PowerBeast, a commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage system developed for flexible deployment and scalable energy capacity. According to FOX ESS, the launch gathered more than 200 customers from around the world and marked its first large-scale C&I product launch in the Asia-Pacific region.

PowerBeast brings together the 125 kW H3 Plus hybrid inverter and high-voltage CQ-series batteries, including the CQ6, CQ7 and CQ20 shown at the event. The modular platform is designed to accommodate different project needs, with smart monitoring and energy management supported through FOX ESS’s FoxCloud 2.0 platform.

During a live demonstration, the FOX ESS team assembled CQ battery modules totaling 316 kWh and connected the system to multiple equipment loads and sources in under 30 minutes. The demonstration highlighted the product’s modular design and installation approach.

Beyond the Launch: A Visit to FOX ESS

Beyond the presentation and product showcase, the Solar Up leadership team took part in a factory tour in Wenzhou. The visit offered a firsthand perspective on FOX ESS’s manufacturing environment and the work behind its solar and battery energy storage solutions.

Located in Wenzhou, Zhejiang Province, China, the FOX ESS facility focuses on R&D and smart manufacturing of PCBA, battery systems, and commercial and industrial (C&I) energy storage solutions. Its Phase II expansion strengthens battery energy storage production to support global demand.

For Solar Up, direct engagement with manufacturers is an important part of evaluating products beyond their specifications. Understanding the people, processes and technologies behind the equipment supports more informed conversations about system design, suitability and long-term project requirements.

What Energy Storage Innovation Means for Philippine Businesses

The emergence of larger, more flexible battery energy storage systems is particularly relevant to commercial and industrial customers in the Philippines. Depending on the facility’s load profile, tariff structure and operating requirements, properly designed solar-plus-storage systems may help businesses manage peak demand, improve energy flexibility and maintain power for selected operations during outages.

Solar Up Philippines delivers residential, commercial and industrial solar EPC solutions, including grid-tied and hybrid installations, battery storage, financing and Power Purchase Agreement (PPA) options. Exposure to technologies such as PowerBeast helps the company assess new possibilities for future projects—without assuming that a single product is right for every customer.

Building Global Connections, Delivering Local Solutions

The visit reflects Solar Up Philippines’ commitment to keeping pace with developments in renewable energy technology while strengthening relationships with international manufacturers. As the company continues to serve customers across the Philippines, these exchanges offer opportunities to improve product knowledge and identify solutions that address local energy challenges.

Solar Up Philippines thanks FOX ESS for the invitation and hospitality, and Hua Lei and the FOX ESS Philippines team for their support throughout the visit.

From global technology showcases to local engineering and installation, Solar Up remains focused on helping Filipino homes and businesses make practical, informed investments in solar energy.
